Ficus (ficus.io) is operated by Ubik Limited, a company registered in Cyprus. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we handle it.

What we collect

Account data: Email address and name when you sign up.

Content you create: Interactive blocks, event configurations, and any media you upload.

Participant data: When someone joins your event, we collect a temporary anonymous identifier. Participants do not need to create an account.

Usage data: Pages visited, features used, device type, browser, and general location (country level). We use this to improve the product.

Payment data: If you purchase credits or a plan, payment is processed by our payment provider. We do not store credit card numbers.

How we use your data

  • To provide and run the Ficus service
  • To send you product updates and important notices
  • To improve the product based on usage patterns
  • To prevent abuse and enforce our terms

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.

Third-party services

We use the following services to operate Ficus:

  • InstantDB (instantdb.com) — real-time database for live event data. Data is processed in the United States.
  • Anthropic — AI generation for building blocks. Prompts and generated content are sent to Anthropic's API for processing.
  • Payment provider — for processing payments.

Each of these services has their own privacy policy. We only share the minimum data required for each service to function.

Data storage and retention

Your account data and blocks are stored as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days. Anonymous event participation data may be retained in aggregated form.

Your rights (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Delete your data
  • Export your data in a portable format
  • Object to or restrict processing
  • Withdraw consent at any time

Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and remember your preferences. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

Children

Ficus is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in the product.
